VRHS will hold their annual meeting June 25, 2024 at 6:00 PM. The location is Downtown Pizza, 52 Hiwassee St, Murphy, NC 28906. 

We will vote on Board of Director Officers and the updated bylaws. Please find the ballot below. Voting is in person only.

Valley River Humane Society Ballot 2024 Officers

President: Don Reynolds

Don is a veteran, having retired from the Maine Air National Guard serving as Assistant Adjutant General. Following his career in the military, Don was a commercial pilot, an organic farmer, and renovated houses. Don’s volunteer duties included serving as a volunteer for Project Chimps in Northeast Georgia. Don’s experience is well suited to lead the Valley River Humane Society Board of Directors.

Vice-President: Dave Worsham

Dave is the owner of Kadillac Kennels in Murphy. He is retired from the IT industry; he also has experience in the construction industry.  Dave’s skill set will be helpful in ensuring that Valley River Humane Society is compliant with state regulations. Dave currently serves as Director-at-Large for the Valley River Humane Society Board of Directors.
